Today, I have decided to look at other OCR students work that revolve either around a horror theme or a romantic comedy. I have chosen to base my own trailer around either one of these genres as the romantic comedy's structure is pretty much the same for all of them, which could be the better choice to pick. Romantic comedies usually have a really simple idea and can be done really easily with two people liking each other to ending up getting together at the end. There are other alternatives to the romantic comedy option. With the comedy aspect it would require some sort of happenings that causes them to not get together e.g. two people fighting over the same person, or like if the person did not realise what they had in front of them from the very beginning. This could be something that could be very interesting to do.
Where as the genre of horror, I would prefer to make as I have some sort of idea of which I could do for this. The only issue with this is that it could become over complicated with the idea. More props would also be needed for the idea I have thought of. The concept of horror genres usually associate with the idea of having a lot of blood and the use of this could become out of hand.
I will be continuing to look at other examples that revolve around either one of these two choices to help with my final idea. From both students work and other feature length film trailers
